In a devastating incident, a 19-year-old man lost his life following a one-vehicle collision on West Denton Way in West Denton. The collision occurred yesterday around 16.00 BST and involved a grey BMW car and a bus stop, where several individuals were waiting.

Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, and despite the best efforts of paramedics, the young man was tragically pronounced dead. The family of the deceased has been informed and is receiving support from specialised officers during this challenging time.

Two women who were also present at the bus stop sustained injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital. While one woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and remains under medical care, the other woman sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, focusing on determining the events leading up to the collision. Three individuals, aged 24, 21, and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are currently in police custody.
