Man Dies in Horror A299 Crash Involving Ambulance

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is hunting witnesses after a deadly smash on the A299 Thanet Way in Herne Bay claimed a man’s life.

Three Vehicles Collide Near Margate Road Interchange

The crash happened around 9:30am on Friday, February 16, 2024. It involved a grey Nissan Qashqai, a beige Land Rover Defender, and a Fiat Ducato ambulance racing with lights and sirens on the coastbound carriageway near the Margate Road Interchange.

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

SCIU is probing the collision’s cause and wants anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage to get in touch immediately.
