Major Drug Bust in Essex After Dutch Police Tip-Off

A 27-year-old man was hauled in by Met Police on 18 April at his Waltham Abbey home following a crack collaboration with Dutch authorities.

A search of the property uncovered a serious stash: two revolvers, ammunition, around one kilo of MDMA, three kilos of high-grade cannabis skunk, loads of edible drugs, cannabis hash, and a whopping £30,000 in cash.

Charged with Drugs and Firearms Offences

The suspect appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court the very next day. He faces charges including conspiracy to supply drugs and possession of firearms. The man has been remanded in custody as investigations continue.

Detective Inspector Driss Hayoukane, Specialist Crime, said: “Those who seek to profit from the misery caused by illegal drugs should know Met officers are working non-stop with partners at home and abroad.

“This was a sharp, data-driven operation targeting drug supply in Ilford and other parts of London. We’re throwing every tactic and tech tool at these criminals to bring them to justice.
