Person Treated for Smoke Inhalation After E-Bike Fire in Eltham Home

A person was treated for smoke inhalation after an e-bike burst into flames at a terraced house on Dunkery Road, Eltham, on Sunday, August 4. The fire, believed to have been caused by a faulty lithium battery in the e-bike, prompted a swift response from the London Fire Brigade.

The incident occurred at 11:39 AM, when the London Fire Brigade received a call about the fire. Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus led one person to safety from the first floor of the building. The individual was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews for slight smoke inhalation. Fortunately, two other occupants of the property had already exited before the firefighters arrived.
