A 17-year-old boy has been shot in Croydon, suffering a potentially life-changing injury, as Metropolitan Police launch an urgent investigation into the incident.

Shooting on Park Street, Croydon

The shooting took place at 7:37 p.m. on Monday, February 10, on Park Street, Croydon. Met officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

He was transported to hospital, where doctors assessed his injuries as potentially life-changing. His next of kin have been informed.

A crime scene remains in place, with officers conducting forensic examinations and reviewing CCTV footage in the area. No arrests have been made so far, and authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“We were called at 19:37hrs on Monday, 10 February, to reports of a shooting in Park Street.

“Met officers responded with paramedics, and a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. His condition was assessed as potentially life-changing. His next of kin have been informed.

“A crime scene is in place, and enquiries are ongoing. There have been no arrests.
