Man Dies After Bin Store Fire in Maida Vale

A man has died following a fire in a bin store at the rear of a property on Elgin Avenue, Maida Hill.

Emergency Response

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to the scene at 12:31 PM on Sunday, February 9, after receiving the first of nine emergency calls about the fire.

Three fire engines from North Kensington, West Hampstead, and Hammersmith fire stations were dispatched to tackle the blaze, which had completely destroyed the bin store.

Despite their efforts, a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.

Investigation Ongoing

Firefighters brought the incident under control by 1:30 PM, but the cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
