A man was seriously wounded in a stabbing in Birmingham city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Stabbing Shakes Exeter Street at 3am

West Midlands Police rushed to Exeter Street just after 3am today (March 16) following reports of disorder. Officers found a man in his 20s suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was quickly taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition.

Two Men Arrested Over Attack

Police arrested two men, aged 19 and 20, on suspicion of assault. Both suspects are now in custody as the investigation continues.

“We responded swiftly to the incident and arrested two suspects shortly after arriving on the scene. Our thoughts are with the victim as he receives treatment in hospital.”

Police Hunt Witnesses as Probe Deepens

West Midlands Police urge anyone who saw the stabbing or has any information to come forward. Call 101 quoting the log number, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
