Emergency Called After Brutal Assault
Police swooped on a Romford home after a 21-year-old woman was viciously attacked by dogs on Rush Green Road. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at 9:17 am on Sunday, 4 May, following urgent calls.
Woman Hospitalised with Arm Injuries
The victim was found with serious injuries to her arm. She was quickly taken to hospital, but thankfully, her wounds are not expected to be life-changing.
Six Dogs Seized, Man Arrested
Officers seized six dogs from the property in a major operation. A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of controlling a dangerous dog. Though he’s been released, police plan to interview him again as investigations continue.
Police and Locals Demand Tougher Dog Laws
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.” Nearby residents expressed shock and called for stricter enforcement of dog ownership rules. The attack reignites national debate over dangerous dog breeds and public safety concerns.

The Mirror can reveal that he was convicted of unlawful wounding and common assault at Maidstone Crown Court in December 2023, in relation to an attack on a woman and a man. Treeby was sentenced to 14 months in prison, suspended for two years, a court official confirmed.
