Three arrested on suspicion of burglary of Queen Victoria’s Norris Castle

Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that 3 men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary following a search by the National Air Support helicopter, a Dog Unit and officers on foot. Police where called by a member of the public who spotted the men acting suspiciously in the ground of the castle that is currently undergoing renovation. Developer Uavend plan to turn the childhood retreat of Queen Victoria into a luxury boutique hotel. It is understood that the Three men were found in the grounds. A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that Police responded at 10.23am on Saturday to a report of a burglary at Norris Castle in East Cowes. Officers were deployed to the area and arrested three men in the grounds. They remain in police custody at this time.
