Teen Thieves and Speedsters Nabbed in Kent Crime Crackdown

Kent police have smashed a string of criminal cabs and stolen motorbikes in a fierce three-day operation targeting burglars, high-value vehicle thieves, dangerous drivers, and domestic abusers.

Stolen Car Chase Ends in Arrests

Just after midnight on 23 November, cops hunted down a stolen car in Swanley. Inside were five teenage boys, aged 15 to 18, all from London. The car was reported stolen from Bromley and linked to an attempted theft of a Land Rover Discovery in Snodland the day before.

All five were arrested and released on bail while investigations continue.

Speeding Getaway Foiled in Dartford

Later that same day, officers in an unmarked patrol car spotted a vehicle tearing away from a petrol station on 1 Road, Dartford. When the car stopped nearby, two men tried to make a run for it but were quickly caught.

The vehicle had false plates and was stuffed with stolen meat and alcohol. A hunting knife was also seized. The men, aged 27 and 30, face charges including theft and possession of a bladed weapon, and were released on bail.

More Arrests and Crime Busts Across Kent

  • A 23-year-old man in Dartford was arrested for breaching a domestic abuse order and cannabis possession.
  • A 27-year-old woman in Swanley was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.
  • A 37-year-old man in Dartford was arrested for multiple offences including vehicle theft, dangerous driving, and attacking a police officer.

Officers also issued seven traffic offence reports, recovered a stolen vehicle, and seized an abandoned car driven suspiciously near a Gravesham farm.

Detective Chief Inspector Speaks Out

“Burglars and thieves don’t care about county borders—they just want to make money off what’s not theirs,” said Detective Chief Inspector Patrick Milford of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

“It’s crucial we track down criminals moving in and out of Kent, working with neighbouring forces to stop them. This operation made several arrests and gathered vital intelligence on organised crime. We’ll keep fighting for the safety of everyone in Kent.”
