Robbery Suspect Caught After Daring Flight Through Colchester

Police have swooped on a man wanted over a violent robbery at a Canterbury Road shop in Colchester. The incident happened just after 7.15pm on Monday 20 February.

Victim Injured but Lucky to Escape Serious Harm

The victim suffered a cut during the robbery. Thankfully, the injury was not life-threatening or life-changing, though she was left visibly shaken by the ordeal.

Chase Ends in Arrest Near Priory Street

On Thursday 23 March, two PCSOs spotted a man matching the suspect’s description while patrolling the city. When approached, he bolted. Four officers joined the pursuit, finally catching him in Fennings Chase, close to Priory Street.

Suspect Held on Multiple Charges

The 30-year-old Colchester man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, aggravated burglary, and possession of a knife or bladed article. He remains in custody as police continue their investigations.
