Police Hunt Red Skoda Blaze Through Ashford
Officers from the Tactical Operations Unit were on patrol early Monday, June 27, 2022, when a red Skoda caught their eye. The car was racing at breakneck speeds along the A28 in Ashford.
Wild Pursuit Through Narrow Lanes
The chase turned hair-raising as the driver tore through narrow country lanes, darting on the wrong side of the road and hitting speeds over 120mph. The police finally stopped the vehicle on the A2 at Wincheap using a stinger device.
17-Year-Old Driver in Hot Water
The driver, a 17-year-old Ashford girl, was apprehended and faces multiple serious charges:
- Failing to stop
- Dangerous driving
- Driving without insurance
- Driving without a licence
- Taking a motor vehicle without consent
She has been released on bail as investigations continue.
