Isle of Wight Horror Crash: Road Shut After Head-On Collision
A road on the Isle of Wight remains shut following a shocking head-on crash that happened just after 10.30pm last Friday. Emergency crews rushed to the terrifying scene where one person was thrown from their car.
Crash Chaos on Apse Manor Road
Police and paramedics scrambled to Apse Manor Road, near Shanklin, after the vehicle rolled onto its roof, smashed into a bank, and landed in a nearby field. Fire crews initially feared people might be trapped inside, but it was soon clear the crash victim had been ejected from the car.
It took medics over an hour to stabilise the injured person, who remains in hospital in critical condition.

Specialist collision investigators have taken charge of the probe, taking over from the Isle of Wight’s joint roads policing team. They’re using advanced scanning tech to build a detailed computer model of the accident.
Road Closure and Ongoing Investigation
