Emergency crews scrambled to Boulton Road, Dagenham, just before 5 PM on Wednesday after reports of a strong gas smell. Several people complained of feeling unwell, prompting a swift response from the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Multiple Casualties Treated on Scene

LAS dispatched ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, and their hazardous area response team (HART) to tackle the incident. According to a spokesperson:

“We were called at 3.53 PM on Wednesday 22 January to reports of an incident on Boulton Road, Dagenham. We treated two patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”

Authorities are urging local residents to avoid the area as emergency teams work to secure the site and pinpoint the source of the gas leak. Windows and doors should be kept closed as a safety precaution.
