M20 Shut Both Ways After High-Speed Police Chase
The M20 is closed in both directions between Junctions 8 and 9 after Kent Police arrested a man following a dramatic pursuit.
Speeding Driver Fails to Stop, Sparks Police Chase
Just after 11:25am on Sunday, April 25, officers tried to pull over a vehicle speeding on the coastbound M20 near Junction 12. The driver ignored them, exited the motorway, then swerved onto the London-bound side.
Police Tackle Car to Stop at Junction 9
The chase ended at Junction 9 when a police car made a tactical move to stop the vehicle. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident.
Man Arrested on Dangerous Driving Charges
A 27-year-old Welsh man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
The motorway remains closed to make the carriageway safe. Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes and expect delays.
