Tragedy in South London: Mum and Two Sons Found Dead
Detectives have identified three victims found dead at a home in south London. They are 47-year-old Nadja De Jager and her two young sons, nine-year-old Alexander and seven-year-old Maximus.
Police Called to Distressing Scene in Belvedere
Officers were called at 11:50am on Thursday, 9 March, to an address on Mayfield Road amid concerns for the family’s welfare. Police, along with London Ambulance Service, forced entry to the home. Tragically, Nadja and her two boys were found dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway, Family Asked for Privacy
Detective Inspector Ollie Stride said:
“This is a deeply sad case and we are continuing to establish the circumstances that led to this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the family as they struggle to come to terms with their loss.”
“We thank the local community for their cooperation and ask that their privacy be respected during this extremely difficult time.”
Next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers. Post-mortem examinations will be arranged.
Specialist Crime Command Leads Inquiry
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is handling the investigation. Police have confirmed they are not actively seeking any suspects at this time. A crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
