Multiple Stabbings Spark Major Incident in Southport

A major incident was declared in Southport this morning after multiple stabbings left several people injured. Merseyside Police and emergency services rushed to the scene on Hart Street just before midday.

The North West Ambulance Service deployed 13 ambulances, a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), Air Ambulance, and Merit Doctors to tackle the chaos. So far, eight stabbing victims have been treated and rushed to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Aintree University Hospital, and Southport and Formby Hospital.
