Man Seriously Assaulted in Bristol – Police Hunt Two Suspects

A man was brutally attacked in Bristol yesterday afternoon, sparking a major police hunt. The assault happened around 4.10pm on Saturday 21 October, with the victims’ attackers fleeing the scene before emergency services arrived.

Suspects Still on the Run After City-Wide Search

Police were alerted by members of the public and rushed paramedics to the scene. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious back wounds but, thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening.

The National Police Air Service joined ground officers in a thorough search around Ship Lane, where the suspects were last seen heading. So far, the culprits remain at large.

Police Release Images of Two Young Men Wanted

Officers have now issued descriptions and released images of two men believed to be linked to the attack.

  • Male 1: Late teens or early 20s, mixed heritage, wearing a dark jacket, grey jogging bottoms, face covering, gloves, and carrying a dark rucksack with red flashes.
  • Male 2: Late teens or early 20s, white, taller, clean-shaven, wearing a black hooded jacket and light grey tracksuit bottoms.

Police are stepping up high-vis patrols to reassure local residents and gather information.

Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

Detective Inspector Will Thorpe said: “The victim sustained two wounds to their back during this vicious attack, which has landed him in hospital. While his injuries are serious, we are grateful that they are not considered life-threatening.”

“If you witnessed anything or have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, please come forward.”
