Manhunt Underway After Fatal Shooting on Hackney Estate

Detectives launch urgent probe after a man in his twenties was shot multiple times in the back garden of a Hackney home.

Shots Fired on Brackenfield Close

Police were called to Brackenfield Close, E5, around 11:30pm on Friday, 5 June after reports of gunfire. Neighbours reported hearing multiple shots and later spotted a blue and white police tent erected in the victim’s rear garden.

Victim Dies at the Scene

Officers arrived with London Ambulance Service to find the man suffering serious gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Manhunt Launched, No Arrests Yet

A full forensic investigation is underway with cordons still in place. A Section 60 stop-and-search order is active across Hackney from 12:15am to 3:15pm on Saturday, 6 June as police hunt the shooter.
