Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Monks Park, Wembley

Man in Late 20s Found with Fatal Head Injuries

Police launched a murder investigation after a man was discovered dead in Monks Park, Wembley, on Sunday evening. The London Ambulance Service called officers at 7pm on 8 July following reports of an unresponsive man in parkland near Monks Park Gardens, NW10.

Officers arrived to find a man, believed to be in his late 20s, suffering head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination is set to take place. Formal identification is pending.

Homicide Detectives Lead The Investigation

The Homicide and Major Crime Command is spearheading the inquiry, probing the full circumstances behind the deadly attack.

“We are launching a major investigation, but we will need the help and support of the community to bring those responsible to justice,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil John. “We urgently want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, especially if you saw or heard anything suspicious.”

“Any details you can provide, no matter how small, could be vital. We need to hear from you if you saw anyone hanging around or leaving the scene, by car or on foot.”
