Teen Arrested for Knife Possession in Portslade
Police swooped on a 16-year-old boy in Portslade after concerned locals called them in. The incident happened on Church Road on Thursday, February 24, at around 11.20am.
Knife Crime Crackdown in Brighton and Hove
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife in a public place and is now released under investigation while enquiries continue. Officers from Brighton and Hove’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, part of Operation Safety, made the arrest.
Operation Safety is Sussex Police’s dedicated mission targeting knife crime through education and enforcement.

Sergeant Alec Barrett thanked the public for their vigilance. He said:
