Police launch probe after 22-year-old shot in Hackney
Gunfire Rocks Homerton Road
Chaos erupted on Hackney’s Homerton Road around 9:20pm last Friday (9 May) when a 22-year-old man was shot. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene following reports of gunfire.
The victim was found with gunshot wounds and given immediate treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital. Thankfully, police confirmed his injuries are non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.
No Arrests Yet – Police Seek Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Enquiries are ongoing. At this time, no arrests have been made, and officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.”
Detectives are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to come forward.
