Pedestrian Left Fighting for Life After Hit-and-Run in Stratford
A man remains in hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries after being hit in a shocking suspected hit-and-run on The Grove, Stratford.
Serious Collision Sparks Emergency Response
The crash happened just before 12:20pm on Saturday, March 15, near the junction with Great Eastern Road. Witnesses reported seeing a car slam into a pedestrian before speeding off.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) arrived within seven minutes, treating the victim at the scene. The man was rushed to a major trauma centre with serious injuries. London’s Air Ambulance also attended to provide specialist care.
Driver Flees, Police Launch Hunt
The driver fled before officers could arrive. Police have launched an active investigation to track down the suspect. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses or dashcam video from anyone nearby at the time.
Police Urge Public to Help
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“The man remains in hospital and his injuries are being treated as possibly life-threatening. Our enquiries to identify and locate the driver continue.”
