Diversion routes: Follow the signs or face chaos
Follow the solid triangle diversion signs to dodge the closure
- Leave the A14 at J55 Copdock Mill and take the A1214 around Ipswich to Woodbridge Road Roundabout.
- At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A1189.
- Follow the A1189 to the Felixstowe Road A1156 roundabout.
- Go straight over, then travel along A1156 Felixstowe Road to rejoin the A14 at J58.
Or, follow the solid circle diversion signs
- Exit the A14 at J58, taking the A1156 Felixstowe Road.
- At the A1189 roundabout, take the second exit.
- At Woodbridge Road Roundabout, take the first exit onto the A1214.
- Continue on the A1214 around Ipswich to rejoin the A14 at J55 Copdock Mill.
