Tragic Death of Lambeth Man After Motorcycle Crash
Gentle Soul Lost on Kennington Park Road
A cherished Lambeth local, Rahman Shah, 57, has died after a collision with a Honda motorbike on December 18. Known as “the most calm, gentle person you can come across,” Shah was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away three days later, on December 21.
Family Mourns Wise, Caring Man
Shah’s family paid an emotional tribute, highlighting his intelligence and kindness. They said:
“He was a very intelligent, educated, and hardworking family man. He had the answer to everything. His interests were in education, poetry, and society. He was the only child and brought pride to his family name.”
“Shah was the most calm, gentle person you can come across.”
Crash Details and Police Appeal
The crash happened just before 3:16pm on December 18, when Shah was struck by a Honda motorbike on Kennington Park Road. The rider stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Emergency services arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Shah succumbed to his injuries days later.
The Metropolitan Police are now urgently seeking witnesses and dashcam footage to aid their investigation.
“Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Lambeth are appealing for witnesses and information,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “Sadly, 57-year-old Rahman Shah later died from his injuries on 21 December.”
