The community of Muswell Hill has been left reeling after the stabbing of a beloved church worker on Wednesday evening. The woman, described by neighbours as a “kind and generous soul,” is widely respected for her work at Saint James’s Church, where she established a youth club that has helped over 30 local youngsters transition into adulthood.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to St James Lane at 8:04 PM on Wednesday, November 27, following reports of an assault. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found the woman, aged in her 40s, suffering from stab wounds. She was rushed to the hospital, where her injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.
The Metropolitan Police arrested a teenage boy at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He remains in custody as investigations continue.

The attack has left residents shocked and saddened. One neighbour said, “She’s a lovely lady, always putting others first. Her work with the church youth club has made such a difference in our community. It’s devastating to think she’s been hurt like this.”
