Plain Clothes Police Nab Wanted Man in Kent
Undercover cops patrolling Wellesley Road spotted a wanted man in a car on Thursday, 28 September. The vehicle was pulled over, and Ben Foad, seated in the front passenger seat, was arrested on recall to prison.
Drugs, Cash, and a Knife Found in Car
Officers searched the vehicle and uncovered a large knife, cash, mobile phones, and small quantities of cocaine and heroin. The phone analysis revealed messages selling heroin and crack cocaine, signed off with “Ben.”
Foad Sentenced to Four Years for Drug Supply and Knife Possession
The 20-year-old, formerly from north London, faced Canterbury Crown Court on 9 November. He admitted being involved in the supply of class A drugs and possessing a bladed article, resulting in a four-year jail term.
Police Warn on Dangers of Drug Dealing and Violence
“The drugs sold by committed dealers like Foad lead to knock-on crime and anti-social behaviour in our communities,” said Detective Constable Karl Shonhard, of Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team.
“The knife he had in the footwell shows the violence or threat that often accompanies drug supply. I’m pleased both the weapon and its owner are now off Kent’s streets.”
