Man Jailed After Sickening Video Surfaces of Victim Passed Out
Carl Wallis, 38, from Brookdene, was found guilty at Swindon Crown Court after a three-day trial. The shocking case emerged when a video was discovered on an old phone showing Wallis having sex with the victim while she was unconscious and unresponsive.
Victim Speaks Out: “I Feel Dirty and Humiliated”
In a heartfelt Victim Personal Statement, she said: “The day I found the video and pictures on the mobile phone… I was in total shock. I did not know what to think or feel, I felt completely numb. I could not believe what I had just seen. I felt sick.”
“I feel dirty and humiliated… I will never be free from the monster.”
Police Praise Victim’s Courage and Urge Others to Speak Up
Detective Constable Anna McCormack praised the victim’s bravery. She said: “I would like to praise the victim in this case for having the courage and conviction to see this through. Without her, we would not have been able to seek justice.”
She added a strong message to other victims: “If you have been a victim of sexual assault, please come forward, even if it happened some time ago. We know it’s hard. You might feel unsure about what happened or how to talk about it. But we have trained officers and partner organisations ready to listen and support you.”
“Your information could help bring offenders to justice and keep you and others safe.”
