Bournemouth Man Jailed for Peddling MDMA, Cocaine and Cannabis
David George Hinchey, 40, was slammed with a one-year prison sentence on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Bournemouth Crown Court. The Bournemouth resident was caught red-handed dealing a dangerous cocktail of MDMA, cocaine, and cannabis.
Suspicious Behaviour Sparks Police Action
It all began on Friday, June 25, 2021, when officers spotted Hinchey acting dodgy near the Lower Gardens. A search uncovered a mobile phone, which was seized for further investigation.
More Suspicious Moves Lead to Arrest
Fast forward to Tuesday, July 13, 2021, and Hinchey was spotted again acting oddly in the same spot. After a search, police found several small wraps of suspected Class A drugs on him. He was promptly arrested.
Phones Uncover Drug-Dealing Evidence
Forensic checks on Hinchey’s seized phones revealed he was using them to wheel and deal Class A and B drugs.
“We recognise the impact of drug supply on our communities and the concern it causes for residents,” said Police Constable Stuart Grant from Bournemouth South Neighbourhood Policing Team. “We are committed to doing everything possible to disrupt those involved in drug trafficking.”
Neighbourhood Police Patrols Keep Bournemouth Safe
Officers regularly patrol the Lower Gardens and vow to crack down on anyone caught behaving suspiciously.
