Man Jailed for Sexually Assaulting Young Girl in Hounslow Home
Nikunjkumar Vaidh, 36, of Prince Regent Road, Hounslow, has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars. The Isleworth Crown Court handed down the sentence on Monday, 16 March, after Vaidh was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under 13.
Two Attacks in Girl’s Own Home
Vaidh was convicted on two counts of sexual touching following a trial that ended on 3 December 2019. The court heard how he targeted the young girl—known to him—on separate occasions inside her own home in Hounslow.
On both incidents, Vaidh struck when no other adults were around. After the second assault, he warned the girl to keep the abuse “top secret” and not to tell anyone.
Victim Finds Courage to Speak Out
Breaking his silence, the girl eventually confided in her mother. Her mum confronted Vaidh, and the police launched an investigation. When questioned, Vaidh denied all allegations, claiming the girl had made up the story.
Throughout the case, the victim received specialist counselling and ongoing support from trained officers.
Police Praise Victim’s Bravery
“Nikunjkumar Vaidh is an opportunistic abuser who took advantage of situations where he had won the confidence of others, and used them to carry out two sexual assaults on a young girl,” said DC Emma Rogers from the West Area Safeguarding Team, who led the investigation.
“I would like to pay tribute to the bravery of the girl and her mum who had the confidence to speak to the police and support this investigation to its conclusion.”
