Leicester Knife Attacker Jailed for Over 12 Years
Nathan Bloor, 27, from Styon Road, Leicester, has been locked up for 12 years and 4 months after a brutal stabbing last January. The jury at Leicester Crown Court found him guilty of wounding with intent and possession of a knife.
Brutal Street Stabbing in New Parks Way
The victim, a 25-year-old known to Bloor, was stabbed multiple times in the back, arms, and legs. Police were called to New Parks Way at 5.26pm on 5 January last year. The victim was rushed to hospital and later discharged.
Witnesses saw a car carrying Bloor brake hard near the victim. Bloor and others shouted at the man before Bloor pulled a kitchen knife and stabbed him repeatedly. The victim fought back, snapping the blade, which was recovered at the scene.
Passers-by witnessed the attack and called emergency services. Police later used CCTV, dashcam footage, and forensic evidence tying Bloor’s DNA to the knife.
Drugs Charge Adds to Jail Time
Bloor wasn’t just facing the stabbing charges. Back in June 2020, he’d been caught with heroin and crack cocaine worth around £2,450 in a car stopped by police on Dominion Road. On 8 October last year, he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply these Class A drugs.
Sentencing Breakdown
- 9 years for wounding with intent
- 2 years for possession of a knife (concurrent)
- 3 years 4 months for drugs offences (served consecutively)
Total sentence: 12 years and 4 months behind bars.
Detective Constable Mike Archer said: “The victim was attacked in the street, suffering serious injuries and needing hospital treatment. It could have been far worse because of Bloor’s actions.
“Members of the public were left fearful, witnessing the attack. I thank the brave witnesses who helped secure this conviction.”
