Three Assaulted in Shocking Kent Attack

Kent Police rushed to a property near Bonney Way on Wednesday 1 March 2023 after reports of a violent assault. Three victims – two women and a teenage boy – suffered serious injuries. One woman was treated for stab wounds, another for a head injury, while the boy suffered a cut to his hand. All three were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

The suspected attacker, Gerard Parkinson, 61, from Parkhill Road, Sidcup, Greater London, was known to the victims. He was arrested the same day and taken into custody. On Thursday 10 March, the Crown Prosecution Service charged Parkinson with two counts of attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Legal Drama Unfolds

Parkinson made a brief appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 March. He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 7 April for a full hearing.
