Paedophile Mark Thomson Jailed for 24 Years Over Horrific Abuse of Two Girls
Mark Thomson, 46, from Tyrell Grove, Hyde, has been locked up for 24 years after being found guilty of oral rape, attempted rape, and multiple sexual assaults on two girls under 13 at Manchester Crown Court.
Two Shocking Cases Revealed
The court heard Thomson abused one girl while supposedly caring for her. He lured her into his bedroom, claiming they were playing a game, before orally raping her on several occasions.
In the second case, Thomson groomed another girl under 13 over two years. After committing multiple sexual offences, he escalated to exposing himself and forcing the victim to ‘suck it’ while pushing her head towards his crotch.
Detectives Praise Victims’ Bravery
Detective Constable Kristy Hamlet led the extensive investigation, supported by South Manchester CID officers. Detective Sergeant Jemma Ford said:
“I want to thank both victims for their incredible bravery in coming forward and reliving these horrifying events during the investigation. Multiple detectives and officers worked tirelessly to secure justice. We hope this conviction helps deliver that.”
“Greater Manchester Police will continue to thoroughly investigate these crimes and bring offenders to justice.”
