Knife-Wielding Stalker Jack Hennessy Jailed Over Maidstone Abuse Campaign

Abuser Jailed for Stalking and Knife Threat Near Maidstone

Relentless Abuse Ends in Prison

Jack Hennessy, a violent and controlling partner, has been locked up for unleashing months of abuse, stalking, and intimidation on a woman near Maidstone.

His campaign of terror included throwing the victim across a room and holding a kitchen knife to her neck. The abuse started when their relationship began the previous year and only escalated.

From Stalking to Threatening to ‘Blow Up’ Her Car

After she tried to escape his grip, Hennessy showed up at her home uninvited at all hours. He bombarded her with threatening phone calls and even warned he would “blow up her car” when he found out the police were involved.

Justice Served at Woolwich Crown Court

The 37-year-old, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court. He was hit with charges including stalking causing fear of violence, controlling and coercive behaviour, and threatening with an offensive weapon.

On 15 March 2024, Hennessy was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars. When he’s released, a five-year restraining order will keep him away from his victim.

Police Urge Victims to Speak Out

PC Olivia Cox of the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team said: “Hennessy is a violent and aggressive bully, the likes of whom can make victims’ lives a misery. He used abuse, fear, and intimidation to control almost every aspect of her life. I’m glad the courts have handed down a custodial sentence. This gives the victim the time and space to break free and move on.”

“Tackling domestic abuse is a top priority. If you are suffering abuse, please come forward. You don’t have to put up with it or feel trapped. Remember, you are not alone. If you don’t want to talk to police, there are support agencies and charities ready to listen and help.”
