London Man Arrested with £3,000 in Joggers
Leon Taagi, 27, from Willesden, North-West London, was caught red-handed. Police found £3,000 stuffed in his jogging bottoms pockets along with a London train ticket dated two days earlier. Two phones lay beside the drugs—one was ringing non-stop during the raid.
Taagi Jailed After Pleading Guilty
The dealer was charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He admitted the offences at Canterbury Crown Court. On 28 January 2020, Taagi was sentenced to three years behind bars.
Detective Constable Natasha Russell said: “We will not tolerate drug dealers coming into the county and inflicting misery on vulnerable people in our communities. We are pleased this sentence will keep Taagi off our streets for a considerable amount of time.”
Taagi’s arrest sends a clear message: Kent’s streets are not open for drug crime business.
