Two Men Charged with Murder After Fatal Pembroke Road Shooting
Connor Brooks, 20, from Horsa Road, Erith, and Bradlee Reeve, 33, from Chapman Road, Erith, were hit with charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder on Saturday, 11 March. They are set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.
Additional Arrests Made in Connection to the Shooting
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 53-year-old man detained for conspiracy to commit murder were both released on bail. A 17-year-old male arrested for murder and attempted murder has been released with no further action.
Night of Terror on Pembroke Road
The arrests followed a chaotic night overnight from Thursday, 9 March into Friday, 10 March. Police responded at around 8:50pm on Thursday, 9 February to reports of shots fired on Pembroke Road.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, finding 24-year-old Kai McGinley with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, Kai tragically died at the scene.
Earlier Charges in Case
Earlier this month, Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst, Belvedere, and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close, Erith, were charged with murder and attempted murder. Both appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and await their next hearing at the Old Bailey.
