Early hours of Tuesday, April 18, Lansdowne Road residents woke to a nightmare. Just after midnight, police scrambled to a break-in near the junction with Wallace Avenue.
Family Trapped as Burglars Ransack Home
The occupants locked themselves in a bedroom as several men with thick South London accents prowled the property. The intruders threatened harm while rifling through the house, terrifying those inside.
Police Launch Probe, Victims Receive Support
Detective Sergeant Lou Baileff said: “This was a traumatising experience for the occupants, who were left shaken but thankfully not hurt. They are receiving safeguarding support from our officers and our enquiries to establish the full circumstances – including the motive behind them – are ongoing.”
Thieves Escape with Tech and Keys
The raiders made off with a laptop, an iPad, and keys. Police are hunting leads and urge anyone with info or CCTV footage to come forward.
