Drugs and Knife Seized in Major Dartford Police Crackdown
Kent Police teamed up with the Metropolitan Police and British Transport Police for a forceful operation at Dartford Train Station on 14 August 2020. With help from police dogs Max and Piper, officers seized drugs and a knife in a sweeping anti-knife crime blitz.
Big Haul: Cocaine, Cannabis, and a Knife Confiscated
The raid uncovered cocaine, cannabis, and a dangerous knife. Police also recovered a stolen purse from a suspect who allegedly used the victim’s bank cards to buy clothes.
Three Charged and One Arrested
- Timothy Coyne, 35, from Woolwich, was charged with possession of a bladed article and cannabis. He’s due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on 22 September.
- Randy Carr, 45, of Sittingbourne, faces charges for possession of cocaine and cannabis. He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 25 September.
- A 25-year-old London man was arrested on suspicion of theft but has since been released pending further enquiries.
- Plus, three individuals received warnings for cannabis use during the operation.
Community Safety Boosted, Says Police Inspector
“Joint working with our partners such as this helps us gather intelligence and reinforces our commitment to protecting the public from criminal activity,” said Community Safety Unit Inspector Sarah Rivett. “This was a successful operation which not only led to arrests but also provided crucial intelligence to further investigations.”
This Dartford swoop sends a strong message: the cops are zero-tolerant on knife crime and drug dealing.
