London Man Busted and Jailed for Five Years in Southsea Drug Sting

Marcel Anthony Clarke, from Wimbledon Parkside, London, has been locked up for five years after falling foul of the law in Southsea last March. Clarke was nabbed on suspicion of drug offences and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin.

Five Years Behind Bars for Class A Supply

Clarke received concurrent five-year sentences for each charge. Police seized crack cocaine and heroin worth £390 and £345 in cash during the bust. His haul didn’t get far before officers swooped.

“This is another good result for our 1 Related Harm team and the local community – removing a drug dealer from the streets of Portsmouth,” said Detective Sergeant Matthew Easton.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Heelan added: “We continue to actively target drug dealers and disrupt drug dealing in Portsmouth. I hope this sentence reassures our local community that we will do everything in our power to get drug dealers off of our streets and in front of the courts.”

He urged anyone with info to contact police on 101, or dial 999 if a crime is underway.
