Puppy Dies Hours After Sale
One of the puppies, a pug named Doug, was sold for a whopping £1,200. The buyer reported the heartbreaking death of Doug just hours after collection to Animal Protection Services (APS). Vets had no choice but to put the poor pup down to end its suffering.
Huge Profits From Illegal Puppy Sales
Prosecutor James Parry revealed Robinson advertised three litters across two websites. She could have made up to £12,000 from her dodgy dealings — all without a pet shop licence.
Robinson, who admitted she’s never worked and lives on benefits, failed to repay the money. She couldn’t remember where the cash went.

After sentencing, an APS spokesman slammed the illegal puppy trade, calling this “the worst case we have successfully prosecuted to date.”
