Man Stabbed in Woolwich: Armed Police Swiftly Respond
Police were called at around 11am on Tuesday, 21 March, after reports of a man stabbed on Elmdene Road, Woolwich SE18.
Victim Rushed to Hospital with Serious Arm Wound
Officers and London Ambulance Service found a man, believed to be in his 30s, bleeding heavily from an arm injury. He was taken to hospital where his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Nearby care home staff spotted the man stumbling and helped stem the bleeding before emergency crews arrived. An unnamed care home worker said, “Staff called police immediately and helped control the bleeding. Armed Police and paramedics arrived quickly. We’ve been told the man will be okay.”
Suspect Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody. Police investigations are ongoing.
