Drinker’s Trust Betrayed: Milton Keynes Robber Jailed Over Two Years
Rowe’s Sudden Attack in Willen Park
Robert Rowe, 29, homeless and desperate, struck on the evening of April 27 in Milton Keynes’ Willen Park. After befriending a 66-year-old man who kindly bought him a drink, Rowe spotted the victim entering his card PIN. Later that night, Rowe viciously assaulted the man, stole his card, and drained hundreds from his account.
Swift Justice Sees Rowe Locked Up
Rowe was arrested on May 2 and charged the next day. At Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 10 June, he pleaded guilty to robbery. The judge handed down a tough sentence of two years and three months behind bars.
Detective’s Warning
“Rowe claimed it was a spur-of-the-moment decision,” said Detective Constable Matt Bly of Milton Keynes CID. “He exploited the victim’s kindness, assaulted him, and stole his wallet. There’s no excuse for such behaviour. His early guilty plea reflected the strong evidence against him. He now faces a custodial sentence to reflect on his actions.”
The victim suffered facial injuries in the brutal attack.
