Kent Police Nab Two in Ford Fiesta Theft Spree
Kent Police have arrested two men after a string of Ford Fiesta thefts rocked Medway and Swale. The thieves targeted multiple cars, sparking fears across local communities.
Fiesta Theft Frenzy Hits Medway and Beyond
The crime spree kicked off between Wednesday 4 June and Thursday 5 June 2025. The first victim reported their Ford Fiesta stolen from Rede Court Road, Rochester. On the same days, another Fiesta vanished from Maidstone Road. A third was snatched late on Friday 6 June.
The heists didn’t stop there. Reports flooded in across Sittingbourne between Monday 9 June and Tuesday 10 June, including:
- A van taken from a business in Teynham
- Theft from premises in Iwade
- A personal Fiesta stolen from Jubilee Street
Arrests Made on A21 Near Orpington
Police acting fast stopped a suspicious vehicle near Orpington on the A21 shortly after midnight on Thursday 12 June. Inside were two men — the driver and a front seat passenger — who were quickly detained.
Officers found tools and car parts in the car, leading to both men being arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and going equipped for stealing. They have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses as Investigation Continues
Kent Police continue to hunt for more leads. They urge anyone with information about the Ford Fiesta thefts across Medway, Swale, or Sittingbourne to come forward. Witnesses and dashcam owners should call 101 quoting reference 12JUN/A21.
