Murder Probe Underway After Shooting in NW London
A man in his 20s has been shot dead in north-west London, sparking a murder investigation. Police were called to Hansel Road, NW6, just after midnight on Wednesday, 12 August.
Armed Officers Rush to Hansel Road
Armed officers and London Ambulance Service raced to the scene after reports of a shooting at 12:20am. The victim was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No Arrests Yet, Investigation Ongoing
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched a full homicide probe. A crime scene remains cordoned off as officers hunt for leads. No arrests have been made so far.
Police Plea: Help Us End the Violence
“Firstly, my thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones,” said Chief Superintendent Roy Smith, North West BCU commander. “Our officers and paramedics did all they could to save this young man’s life, rushing towards danger without hesitation.”
“We’re using every tactic to stop senseless violence and need your help. Officers will be patrolling the area in the coming days. Please speak to them if you have any info that could aid our investigation.”
