Teenager Shot Dead in Wood Green: Murder Probe Underway
A murder investigation has been launched in Haringey after a 19-year-old was fatally shot in Wood Green.
Police were called to Hollywood Green, High Road, N22, just after midnight on Thursday, 8 March, following reports of a shooting.
Armed Police and Ambulance Rush to Scene
Armed officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. They found the young man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a central London hospital but tragically died shortly after arrival.
His family has been informed, with a post-mortem scheduled. Formal identification is pending.
Investigation Ongoing – No Arrests Yet
The Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the inquiry. So far, no arrests have been made and a crime scene remains in place as detectives continue to piece together what happened.
Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks said: “At this early stage, we’re trying to piece together exactly what has happened. We believe two people made off on a moped shortly after the incident, and this is one line of enquiry we’re actively pursuing.”
