Woman Assaulted in Broad Daylight on Quiet Street

On Sunday, 21 March, just after 9.30pm, a woman walking down Sunridge Avenue was attacked by a stranger.

The man suddenly grabbed her arm and struck her in the face as she tried to break free, leaving her with a minor injury. Witnesses describe the attacker as around 5’10”, stocky, and in his 30s. He wore dark clothes and fled the scene in a dark saloon car.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Constable Michael Wallis from the 1 Police Crime Investigation Team urged anyone with information to come forward.

“We have been pursuing lines of enquiry and need the public’s help. If you were in the area and saw anyone matching this description or noticed anything suspicious, please get in touch,” he said.
