An officer was viciously attacked with a shovel while trying to arrest burglary suspect Jay Baptiste on September 14.
Shovel Assault During Arrest
Baptiste was already wanted for burglary and caught in the act of another crime when police confronted him. The situation turned violent fast, with the officer suffering a brutal attack with a shovel.
Baptiste Charged and Locked Up
Jay Baptiste has now been charged and remanded in custody. He will remain behind bars until at least October 14, 2020, as the case unfolds.
