A staff member at a Maidstone petrol station suffered a fractured eye socket after a violent attack earlier this year. The bloody assault happened on March 30 at the BP garage on London Road, Allington, when a customer repeatedly punched the worker.

Suspect Arrested After Intense CID Hunt

Maidstone CID officers launched a probe and tracked down a suspect. On December 20, 23-year-old Patrick O’Donoghue was arrested at his home in Coldharbour Lane, Aylesford.

Charged with GBH and More

O’Donoghue now faces multiple charges. Alongside grievous bodily harm for the March attack, he was charged for offences on December 20, including possession of a knuckle duster, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.

Next Steps in Court

Patrick O’Donoghue was remanded and scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on December 22.
