Teen Thieves Vandalise Salisbury FC Stadium – Hit with Court Orders!
Three teens have been slapped with court orders after breaking into the Raymond McEnhill Stadium, home to Salisbury Football Club, in Old Sarum last April.
Break-In Causes Thousands in Damage
The trio, who cannot be named due to legal restrictions, pled guilty at Salisbury Youth Court on April 30 to burglary and criminal damage charges. They smashed into the clubhouse, wrecking multiple rooms and leaving behind a hefty repair and cleaning bill topping £2,000.
Swift Justice and Tough Penalties
The youngsters were handed referral orders ranging from four to nine months. On top of that, each was ordered to pay £200 in compensation to help cover the cleanup costs.
Detective Constable Martyn Powell said, “The court’s decision means these three will work with key workers to steer them away from future criminal behaviour. The compensation also offers some restitution for the damage caused.”
Community Impact and Law Enforcement’s Stand
This case stands as a sharp reminder that criminal antics, especially against community hubs like sports stadiums, will not be tolerated. It shows how law enforcement and the courts are cracking down on juvenile vandalism to protect local facilities.
