Hit-and-Run Horror on Burnham Road
A man in his 20s was slammed into the air after a van mounted the pavement and struck him while he walked with a young child on Burnham Road. The shocking hit-and-run happened at around 5.15pm on Tuesday, 22 February 2022.
Victim Injured, Child Unharmed
Emergency crews rushed to the scene. The man was taken to hospital with multiple injuries, though none are believed to be life-threatening. Thankfully, the child escaped unscathed. The van driver fled and police are hunting for answers.

Arrest Made but Suspect Released
On Wednesday, 23 February, a 38-year-old man from Eltham, London, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He has since been released pending further investigation.
